For a long time, I came home from work and immediately switched on the TV. obviously, It didn’t make sense.

After a day of meetings, intense head-to-head work, and endless email chains, the only thing I thought to do was watch TV.

But then last year I realized that I always end up with a tiring day, or worse, a headache.

Besides, I didn’t sleep well. So, I set up an experiment: instead of turning on the TV in my free time, I would take a book.

The results were so surprising. I feel more energetic after work and the next day and read so many books last year.

This helps to improve my knowledge and Most importantly, I found ways to relax that didn’t make me feel like a lazy person.

The main important thing is that after extensive research I found that people who don’t spend more time on screen are so much happier than screen time would.

Engaging in another activity that makes your life better is better than spending too much time on screen.

How do you go to bed before realizing that you value the most important things in life? Using this time to do something meaningful for you will greatly improve your life.

The biggest challenge many people face is finding TIME to find things, activities, and projects that can help them get rid of their jobs entirely.

Finding balance and giving quality time, attention, and energy to things that help you relax can prepare your mind and body for the next day.

Instead of spending every night in front of the TV, you can really enjoy that time and make the most of it by trying a number of new things.

A person who reads every day gets better over time. Unsurprisingly, even regular readers enjoy it more than those who read less often. It can also improve memory and critical thinking skills. And activities like reading were associated with a lower risk of Alzheimer’s disease.

It improves your understanding of the rules of life – new knowledge can help you adapt better in society. Reading books can help you to become familiar with new things, new ways of solving problems, and new ways to achieve your goals.

Reading for pleasure promotes cognitive progress and gains wisdom and integrity.

You can lead to greater empathy, better relationships with others, and  helps to decrease fewer symptoms of depression and dementia, and better well-being. “

It is not only enhances your knowledge and intelligence, but it can change your perception and improve your worldview.

You can easily spend 30 minutes reading every night. You can read a few pages of my favourite books and I will tell you that it really works because I tell you this from my own experience and it worked for me.

Write:

Writing regularly makes you better at writing. And writing is a powerful skill to survive in our digital age.

Writing on daily basis forces you to come up with new ideas regularly, and in doing so forces you to solve the important problem of getting ideas.

Writing helps to clear the mind. The point is, you clear your mind so you can focus on the day, work, solve problems, and enjoy life.

If all these thoughts in the back of your head don’t bother you, it will be easier for you to work and focus, regardless of your profession.

Expressive writing was associated with improved mood, well-being, levels of stress, and depressive symptoms.

Adopt an unusual artistic hobby:

Dedicating time to what you enjoy can improve your mental health and well-being. Studies show that people with hobbies are less likely to suffer from stress, moodiness, and depression.

Activities that make you take a walk will make you happier and more relaxed.

In addition to the usual hobbies you choose to work outside the home, is there anything new and different that can challenge you?

Hobbies break your routine and challenge you in new ways, in different ways of working, in positive ways.

The big benefit of starting a new hobby is that it’s a great way to challenge yourself without the negative stress associated with work-related difficulties.

New challenges can also open your mind to new perspectives on the world.

If you are a web designer, can you learn how to paint? A writer can start a digital photography course to take better photographs. A programmer can learn how to play or play an instrument or how to invest optimally.

You can also choose to draw or paint in your spare time. There is almost something magical about the brain connection when you get your hands dirty.

Build real and deep relationships:

People with strong, healthy relationships are less likely to experience the stress of difficult situations.

You may not be able to meet people in person during these difficult times, but you can still connect with other people and have a conversation that is more than just small talk.

Communication with others is inherently more rewarding. The people you choose to be around have a greater impact on your happiness, intelligence, and overall well-being than you think.

As humans, the relationships we build with others are vital to our mental and emotional well-being and, indeed, to our survival.

A positive relationship can be shared between two people who love, support, inspire and help each other both practically and emotionally.

Make dinner

Grab some fresh ingredients on your way home from work, put on some music, and cook a delicious dinner. Experiment with a new recipe and create an evening.

It would be nice, but not something that would give you more control over your life. If cooking is your passion, you will spend more time preparing meals, planning cooking, and serving cooked meals than doing any other activity in your life.
